Combined Program Discount
Please note that the discount applied to combined programs only applies if an applicant commits to the combined program at the commencement of classes. Applicants who decide to combine programs subsequent to the commencement of classes will not be allowed to partcipate in the combined discount on tuition. |
| Payment Plan |
At present, there are only two states that have allowed competency based formats of instruction for cosmetology. Consequently, the Federal financial aid packages have not yet attached to the competency based programs. In order to compensate for this fact, tuition at IBS is generally priced at 30% to 40% less than the rates offered by hourly based programs in order to make it affordable. In addition, IBS has two options for financing.
The first option is an interest free in house plan in which IBS carries the tuition over the course of instruction. Students pay a flat $500 for the first month of class. Beyond this, students must maintain a $250 monthly fee and the balance of any unpaid amounts shall be due by graduation.
The second option is a private loan that may be arranged through several credit unions. Please contact our staff for further details of this option.

| Refund Policy |
If a student cancels their agreement with the School within five (5) business days of the date of the signed agreement, all funds collected by IBS shall be refunded (OAR 581-045-0026(1)). If the termination is requested after five (5) business days have elapsed but before the start of classes, the School may retain only the published registration fee of $100. If the student or School terminates training after commencement of classes, unless the School has discontinued the program of instruction, the student is financially obligated to the School according to the following formulas or maximum charges.
If the student withdraws prior to completion of 50 % of the contracted instructional program, the student shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the tuition charged less application fees, supply fees, and any other legitimate charges owed by the student. If a student withdraws upon completion of 50% or more of the contracted instructional program, the student shall be obligated for the tuition charges for the entire instructional program and shall not be entitled to any refund.
If a student is enrolled in multiple programs and drops one program but not the other, the pro-rated tuition shall be based on individual program fees and not combined program fees. |
